Dubai property developer Nakheel have confirmed that they will move the QE2 to south Africa in time for the 2010 world cup, Nakheel purchased the historic liner from Cunard back in 2008 for a reputed £50m, but with the real estate market crashing plans for relocation to Palm Jumeirah and refurbishment were put on hold.



Now the Graceful lady will be sited at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, where there is a shortage of hotel rooms for next year’s World cup in its current condition.
